Feature Request: Sequential Follow-up Variations with Non-repeating Sequence Logic

yes this was written with GPT

As a user aiming to increase the personalization and efficiency of multi-touch campaigns, I would like to request a feature that allows for controlled follow-up sequencing with specific variation patterns.

Objective:

To implement a campaign structure where each follow-up message can be varied (A, B, or C) and follow distinct sequences (ABC, ACB, BCA, BAC, CAB, CBA) without repeating a variation order across consecutive touchpoints.

Background:

Currently, some platforms like Apollo allow for variation in follow-ups by enabling a designated sequence (e.g., using variation A in Follow-up 1 means you’ll be using variation A is required for Follow-up 2 and A for Follow-up 3,). However, there is no way to ensure this non-repeating sequence flexibility for each contact, allowing us to optimize message frequency and engagement.

Desired Solution:

  1. Follow-up Flexibility: Allow each follow-up message to be selected as variation A, B, or C.

  2. Non-Repeating Logic: Enforce a sequence logic that would ensure, for example, if the first follow-up uses variation A, the second follow-up would then automatically restrict to variations B or C, and so forth.

  3. Preset Sequence Options: Provide preconfigured non-repeating sequences (e.g., ABC, ACB, BCA, BAC, CAB, CBA) to choose from at the start of a campaign.

Example:

  • Follow-up 1 (User selects A)

    • Automatically narrows Follow-up 2 to B or C.

    • Follow-up 3 completes the sequence with remaining variation.

This addition would significantly enhance engagement outcomes by varying follow-up sequences in a consistent, structured, and non-repetitive manner.

Thank you for considering this feedback!
