Sequences can be assigned consistently to a given lead rather than randomly

Our understanding of how the variant works and what we’ve observed is slightly different from what you confirmed. I am adding @neil@growthsystemz.com and @Desmond legge to confirm.

Here is our understanding of how your variant works:

Campaign 1 with Email Sequence:

Sequence 1: Variant 1.A, 1.B, and 1.C

Sequence 2: Variant 2.A, 2.B, and 2.C

Sequence 3: Variant 3.A, 3.B, and 3.C

Based on the leads list:

Sequence 1: 1/3rd of the leads will get Variant 1.A, 1/3rd of the leads will get Variant 1.B, and the rest 1/3rd of the leads will get Variant 1.C.

Sequence 2: Instantly randomly picks any of the variants from 2.A, 2.B, or 2.C and spreads them across 1/3rd of the leads for each, which does not match the same leads from Sequence 1

Sequence 3: Instantly randomly picks any of the variants from 3.A, 3.B, or 3.C and spreads them across 1/3rd of the leads for each, which does not match the same leads from Sequence 1 or 2

Here is the behavior we would like to see: (treating the variant A, B, and C’s as independent swim lanes and keeping them consistent for a given lead)

Campaign 1 with Email Sequence:

Sequence 1: Variant 1.A, 1.B, and 1.C

Sequence 2: Variant 2.A, 2.B, and 2.C

Sequence 3: Variant 3.A, 3.B, and 3.C

Based on the leads list, let’s say Leads Batch A, Leads Batch B, and Leads Batch C. (Instantly picks the Leads Batch A, B, and C randomly.

Sequence 1: Leads Batch A will get Variant 1.A, Leads Batch B will get Variant 1.B, and Leads Batch C will get Variant 1.C.

Sequence 2: Leads Batch A who received Variant 1.A, will receive a follow up from variant from 2.A, Leads Batch B who received Variant 1.B, will receive a follow up from variant from 2.B, and Leads Batch C who received Variant 1.C, will receive a follow up from variant from 2.C – all matching the Sequence 1

Sequence 3: Leads Batch A who received Variant 1.A, Variant 2.A will receive a follow up from variant from 3.A, Leads Batch B who received Variant 1.B, Variant 2.B will receive a follow up from variant from 3.B, and Leads Batch C who received Variant 1.C, Variant 2.C will receive a follow up from variant from 3.C.
