Right now the unsubscribe page looks ridiculous given that it's providing the opt-out method for COLD emails. The page is trying to retain and save from opting out a cold prospect, who's frustrated enough to click "unsubscribe" in something that they've never subscribed to in 99% of the cases (again, we're doing COLD email, aren't we?). This our weak attempt to make people change their mind (when it's totally impossible), with this smiley emoji β it makes us, senders, look unprofessional to the recipients.
In my opinion, the unsubscribe link must be 1-click: you click "unsubscribe" and get redirected to a design-free page that just says "you've successfully opted out". There's no any reasons to expect from people that they will desire to KEEP SUBSCRIBED to cold email follow ups once they've decided to opt out, and then suddenly saw a round face reacting "sad" to their choiceβ¦
