To track which campaign step each lead is in and to push leads to specific steps

To track which campaign step each lead is in and to push leads to specific steps if necessary from Instantly side if at all possible via API. This capability would greatly enhance our ability to manage campaigns effectively and mitigate potential impacts from issues of sudden deletion of leads in the future. Since right now we have to push back all the email to step 1 and there is no way using the api to get which steps they were in and to push them to the proper steps.
